Working page

Ideas & roadmap

A scratchpad for where this can go: what the site can sell, what we can build, and the name it lives on. Not public (noindex). Add to it freely.

What the site can sell

Multiple income streams, from free content that pulls traffic to paid products and partnerships.

Digital city guides (PDF)

Downloadable guides per city: what to do, skip, eat, how to do it on a budget.

Google Maps pin packs

The exact spots Luke saves, grouped by area, one tap to your phone.

Ready-made routes & itineraries

Interrail routes, Balkans overland, Baltics in 5 days. Plan less, travel more.

Group trips (Eastpackers)

Small-group trips, booked and run with the partner. Commission or fee per booking.

Affiliate links

eSIM (Saily, code LUKE15), flights, hotels/hostels, buses & trains, insurance, gear.

Lightroom presets / LUTs

His photo and video look, sold as a pack. Classic creator lead magnet + upsell.

Display ads / sponsorships

Once traffic grows: display ads, sponsored posts, destination campaigns, newsletter sponsors.

Membership / community

Paid tier: all guides, a private map, early trip access, a members chat.

Trip planning / consulting

Paid 1-on-1 trip planning calls or custom itineraries.

Merch

Simple, tasteful merch once the brand is strong (caps, totes, prints).

Content creation for brands (UGC)

Sell TikToks, reels and posts to tourism boards, hotels, apps and gear brands: made in his style, posted on his channels or delivered for theirs. Rate card per format on the site.

Services page

One clear services page: brand trips, content packages, photo/video days, speaking, consulting. The site is the storefront, Work with me is the intake.

Platform funnel to the site

Every IG story, TikTok and YouTube description points here: link in bio to guides, pin packs and the newsletter. Own the audience instead of renting it from the algorithm.

How we make money together

What we can sell and set up side by side. Pure ideas for now, nothing fixed.

Digital travel guides

Downloadable guides you actually sell. Example: a 14-day route through Barcelona with the full day-by-day route, where to sleep, the best beach spots, honest budgets per day and the practical tips most blogs skip. One guide per city or route, priced low enough to be an easy yes.

SEO articles

Written guides built to rank on Google ("3 days in Lisbon", "Interrail route through the Balkans"). Free to read, they pull in new visitors every day, and every article quietly points to a paid guide, an affiliate link and the newsletter.

Two-way funnel: Google and socials feed each other

People who find Luke on Google through the articles get sent to his Instagram, TikTok and YouTube and become new followers. People who already follow him on socials get sent here and become buyers and email subscribers. The website and the channels grow each other instead of competing.

Affiliate marketing

Links to the things people need to book anyway: Booking.com for hotels and hostels, Interrail for the train passes, plus eSIM, flights and insurance. When someone clicks and books, Luke earns a commission at no extra cost to them.

The 30-day cookie window

The nice part: when someone clicks an affiliate link, that click is saved in their browser for around 30 days. They do not have to book right away. If they book that hotel or Interrail pass any time in the next month, the commission still counts. One click keeps earning for weeks.

Commercial collaborations & partnerships

Paid partnerships with tourism boards, hotels, apps and gear brands: sponsored guides, destination campaigns, content made in his style. The site is the professional storefront that makes these deals easy to close.

A quick example

Say we sell around ten of those guides a day. One guide goes for about €9,95. That is roughly 300 guides a month.

€9,95

per guide

~300

per month

~€3.000

per month

And that is just the guides. Affiliate commissions, partnerships and the shop run on top of it.

What we can build

This homepage

Hero, explore by country, map, My Story video, Most Popular, Recent Posts, newsletter. Done.

Multilingual

EN / NL / TR live, with hreflang. German and French easy to add. Big for his Turkish audience.

Blog from Instagram

Pull his reel captions/transcripts and turn them into real blog guides (needs a small pipeline).

Interactive map

A real clickable map of everywhere he has been, linked to guides and pins.

Video hub

A proper /videos page pulling his YouTube, organised by region.

Shop with checkout

Wire the shop to Gumroad / Payhip / Stripe so guides actually sell.

Lead magnet funnel

Free Interrail route in exchange for email, then nurture with new guides and offers.

Next decisions

  1. 01 Pick the domain (preference: travelwithluke.com) and point the site to it.
  2. 02 Decide: full multi-page site, or strip back to homepage + this ideas page for now.
  3. 03 Send real photos for the hero, cards and About.
  4. 04 Confirm the real "as featured on" list (Daily Mail + which others are real).
  5. 05 Confirm real numbers for the map stats (countries, years, guides).
  6. 06 Hook up a payment tool for the shop and a form backend for the newsletter.
